When was the last time someone truly listened to you? Are you even listening to yourself?
Putting you at the centre of your life is what Centre Self Coaching is all about. I’m here to develop your self-awareness which then enables you to grow in the direction you want. Centre Self Coaching is all about you. I believe you are the expert in your life and as your coach I facilitate your learning about whatever outcomes you want to work on.
I love to help people believe in themselves and develop the confidence to achieve what they want. All the best sports people and business leaders have coaches to support them so why can’t you have one. It’s time to invest in you!!!
My MISSION is to help you develop a positive mental attitude towards achieving what you want. Too often we allow self-limiting thoughts to hold us back. The challenge can seem to big but when it is broken down into manageable steps we can move forward.
There are different ways of coaching and I adapt to suit you.
I use a ‘person centred approach.’
The following are some examples:
Cognitive Behavioural Coaching – working through how your thoughts and feelings cause you to behave and how to reframe thoughts to have a more positive impact on your life.
Solution Focussed Coaching – working on looking to future goals and breaking it down into steps to achieve this. Achieve your dream!!
Clean Language Coaching – working on understanding key issues that keep arising for you and what they mean for you.
Creative Coaching to Suit You – In our discovery session you can choose the way you would like to work for example you can be coached through play, acting, art, metaphors, pictures, walk and talk, face to face or online. Or you can be guided by me. I will make suggestions, but the decisions are yours.
Other services I offer are mindfulness and mini-hand reflexology treatments to calm anxiety during the coaching sessions. (If face to face)
Is your child wanting to talk but not to you?
Do they have goals but are not sure how to achieve them?
Coaching is a service I offer to young people aged between 16-18. Growing up is hard to navigate at times and so is having the confidence to be who you truly want to be.
I offer a confidential, non-judgemental, safe space to talk about any topic you wish to bring and help you find the answers to your questions.
MY PASSION is to instil confidence and self-belief in young people to enable them to develop their own skill set and know their character strengths and traits. This knowledge goes with them through life.
Together we plan the steps needed to get you to where you want to be. I am here to support you in moving forward.
Safeguarding - I have a current DBS and am insured to coach with parental consent. I was a primary school teacher for 18 years and now currently work as a teaching assistant in a Preschool. I am up to date with Safeguarding training.
When coaching any child under 18 confidentiality is limited and safeguarding is paramount. If a child discloses anything that would be a safeguarding issue during a coaching session, I must to report it to a designated safeguarding lead within the school which they attend.

RESILIENCE - what is it? It has 3 elements. .

Solution Focused Brief Coaching for Children & Person Centred Coaching
Solution Focused Brief Coaching is a change-oriented approach that enables young people to find their own solutions in the shortest possible time. It was developed from a Family Therapy Centre in Milwaukee in 1977. It is now a scientifically researched field in which there is a great amount of success.
As a coach I facilitate your child’s learning. The aim of coaching is to support a child with changes and specific goal achievement that the child, parents and school agree on. As a coach I provide a safe space that gives a child the opportunity to become aware of their current reality in relation to a specific goal. A coach helps a child to work towards a goal through an honest and open conversational process of listening, reflecting, summarising, questioning and feedback. It is a non-directive process.
I do not offer advice or counselling. It is not therapy. Specific aims will be agreed at our first meeting and reviewed at each session to ensure the needs of child, parent or school are met. These aims are flexible and can be changed.
Coaching helps children work out things for themselves by exploring what they think they need and options they have. It may also help to reflect on past learnings and experiences to aid future learning. It is a solution-based approach that focuses on positives to help children feel good about themselves.
